Report of   The Photography club  for the year 2022-23 

 

2017-2018

In the academic session 2017-18, the photography club decided to be named as "POLAROID". 

  • An orientation program was held on August 17, 2017 for the students in which nineteen students registered through an online photography competition. 
  • During the academic session, eight photography workshops were conducted by Mr. Hemant Uppal of which six workshops were indoor, one night photography and one outdoor. The students also went for a photowalk to Chandini Chowk to experiment their equipment under the supervision of senior student members of the society. 
  • Students showcased their talent through an exhibition put up during annual cultural festival of the college Kalrav’17. 
  • They also captured special moments of a number of Intra College activities all throughout the year. Some of the students covered events organized by other colleges of University of Delhi. Throughout the year, the society organized a number of competitions as a part of various college events. The members participated in inter college photography competitions organized by other Colleges of University of Delhi as well. 
  • Achievemnets - An intracollege photography competition was organized by the department of commerce in which Swati Tiwari of B.A. (Hons.) English 3rd year bagged the 1st prize; In the intra-college event organised by the department of Computer Science, Kuldeep of B.Sc. Physical Science (with Comp. Sc.) 3rd year was ranked 1st. 

2016-2017

During the session 2016-17, eight photography workshops were beingconducted by Mr. Hemant Uppal. Seven were indoor including one night photography class and one was outdoor workshop. Around twenty students registered for the workshops. The students showcased their talent through the exhibitions put up during annual cultural festival of the college Kalrav‘17. An intercollege photography competition was organized in Kalrav‘17 in which our student Jyoti Dalal got third prize. The fresh batch of students was exposed to practical training under the supervision of senior student members of the society. They covered a number of Intra Collegeactivities held during the year. Some of the students also covered events organized by other colleges of University of Delhi. Throughout the year, the society organized a number of competitions as a part of various college events. The members participated in more than twenty inter collegephotography competitions organized by other Colleges of University of Delhi. 

2015-2016

During the academic session 2015-16, the annual photography workshop is being conducted by MrHemantUppal. More than fifty students registered for the workshop. The students showcased their talent through the exhibitions put up during Silver jubilee celebrations andannual cultural festival of the college Kalrav’16.

The fresh batch of students was exposed to practical training under the supervision of senior student members of the society. They covered a number of Intra College activities held during the year. Some of the students covered events organized by other colleges of University of Delhi.
 
Throughout the year, the society organized a number of competitions as a part of variouscollege events. The members participated in more than twenty inter college photography competitions organized by other Colleges of University of Delhi. SugamMavi of B.A. (H) Eng III Yr won Best Photographer Award in International Press Category in DDUC MUN (August 2015).
 
2014-2015
 
The Photography society began its activities on the first day of the new session that is on 22 July 2014 by putting up an exhibition. The students enthusiastically put up another exhibition on the founder s day. The Photography workshop  started in the month of August 2014 and ended in February 2015. The students were exposed to the theory of photography along with practical knowledge of shooting photographs. They were made familiar with shooting outdoors, night photography and clicking portraits . The students organized a photography competition during the annual cultural festival Kalrav 2015 and showcased their hardwork in an exhibition which was well received and widely appreciated.
