About the NCWEB DDUC Centre
In 1943, by an amendment to Delhi University Act, Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board was established, wherein women students were enabled to take some of the examination of the University with special coaching but without attending regular classes. This gave shape to the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB). The Board began functioning in September, 1944 with 3 students. At present, the enrolment is more than 30,000. Only women students residing in the National Capital Territory of Delhi can enroll themselves as students of the Board. The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College started its NCWEB chapter in July 2017 by admitting 450 students in two courses B.A. and B. Com. The current strength is more than 1300 students. The classes are held on Saturdays and during academic breaks. This leaves students with ample time to work or pursue other goals. The students are not only given exposure of academic life but also co -curricular activities. The former Teacher-In-charge Dr Jayini Adhyapak along with her team got two important workshops done- one on Gender Sensitization through an NGO Breakthrough and the other on Confidence Building and Memory Techniques. The students showcased their artistic capabilities in the cultural Festival RUNG 2018 held on 27th January 2018.
The DDUC Centre of the NCWEB aims to impart technical skills among students in addition to their structured academic knowledge. For that purpose, the NCWEB-DDUC Centre has been organized a series of workshops on computer and information technology issues since 2019. In a rope, six workshops have been organized in last two years in which more than nine hundred students have participated including students of other colleges too. In pursuance of the very much objective of NCWEB (University of Delhi) and considering their holistic development various seminar, lectures, cultural festival, students’ competitions are organised by the Centre on topics viz., soft skill, legal issues, yoga sessions, debate competitions etc. are organized from time to time.

Annual Report 2019-2020
The NCWEB-DDUC Centre started in year 2017 entered in 3rd year in 2019. The total strength of the students in both, B.A. and B.Com, courses reached to 1150 in all three years. This academic year was important because CBCS system was introduced in the NCWEB undergraduate classes from 2019 onwards.The session began with the Orientation Programme on 7th September, 2019, Dr. Hem Chand Jain, Officiating Principal of the College interacted with students and highlighted the importance of CBCS System. Following its objective to impart training and development of technical skills, a three days “Computer Literacy Workshop” was organised from 18th – 20th December, 2019 in association with IQAC, and committee for Special Programme for Learners in DDUC in addition to academic knowledge. The workshop covered three MS Office Packages viz. MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-Power Point.
To spread legal awareness on issues relating to women, two lectures were organised. First on 25th January 2020 in the occasion of celebration of Republic Day, a lecture was organized on “Women Empowerment: A Legal Perspective”, Mr. Deepak Arya, Deputy Director (Legal), Ward, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Govt. of India was the resource person. Secondly, a one-day seminar on the topic “Women Safety: A National Priority” was organised on 22nd February, 2020. Ms. Monika Arora, Advocate Supreme Court was the Chief Guest of the programme, Ms. Vijaya Sharma and Dr. Nisha Rana was the speakers.
A one-day academic excursion tour was organised to Lohagarh Farm House on 29th February, 2020. The Centre planned to celebrate its Annual Fest: Rung 2020, in which a poem, debate, creative essay writing, photography and poster making competition was organized during the month of January and February 2020. The centre has made a fantastic beginning and the credit goes to the dedicated faculty, staff and passionate students. The DDUC Centre shall always strive to attain a higher goal through constant hard work and motivation.
Annual Report 2020-21
The year 2020-21 begin with challenges of Covid’19 Pandemic but gave a path to exploring teaching-learning using technological platform. Dr. Sunil Kumar, TIC, NCWEB-DDUC Centre for guest faculty teachers on ‘how to take online classes’ in two phases. In first phase, video lectures were recorded on the topic ‘Using Google Meet and Classroom for Online Classes’ in the first week of April. In second phase giving assignment and quiz for internal assessment purposes were discussed. The academic session started with orientation program for newly admitted students in the 1st Semester of B.Com and B.A. (Program) on 11th December 2020 through Zoom Application. Following program /competitions were organized by the Centre in online mode (Zoom/Google Meet) during the session:
