Data analytics helps individuals and organizations make sense of data. Data Analysts typically analyse raw data for insights and trends. They use various tools and techniques to help organizations make correct decisions and succeed.
Having a good knowledge of analytics can make a huge difference to one’s career. With a projected 73% growth rate in job demand by 2021, now is a perfect time to jump into the Data Analytics field and start learning all one can about this growing industry.
With this motivation “Data Analytics Club” of our college was established in December 2018.
About:
The Data Analytics Club is a student-run Activity that provides a platform to students interested in the field of Data Analytics to discuss this vast field under one umbrella. We strive to be the single focal point of overall development and growth of the student community with interests in areas of Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Big Data.
Mission:
The Data Analytics Club’s (DAC) mission is to focus on career development and help equip students with the right skills and tools that will enable them to apply relevant analytics-driven solutions into various domains such as business, healthcare, governance, education and engineering applications.
In pursuit of this goal, students are provided:
  • Hands-on workshops on tools like R, Python, Tableau etc.
  • Training to build Machine Learning Models in different domains with variety of publicly available Data Sets
  • Information about latest updates and best practices in the field of Data Analytics.
  • Opportunity to showcase their skills in Data Analytic Hackathons organized by the club.
  • A platform to bring them together with industry experts and allowing them to engage in hands-on, interdisciplinary projects.
  • An opportunity to participate in Case studies competitions by providing real-world data. This can help to understand the outside world issues and bridge the gap between the classroom and the corporate world
  • Career counselling in the field of Data Analytics.
