Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

                                             Vision/Mission of IIC established at the Institute:
 

Under the Ministry of Education, MoE, directed by the Government of India, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) was established in Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College. The primary goal has been to promote innovation in the institution through multitudinous modes, leading to an innovation promotion ecosystem.  Under this Umbrella, the mission is to convert the mind-set of students from job seeker to job provider, encouraging them constantly to develop skills of creativity, critical thinking and problem solving. The following goals constitute the vision of IIC in this Institute.

1. The goal is to focus on breaking isolation and enhancing coherence and synergy among departments, centres, units, student bodies at institute and derive expertise and resources from ecosystem enablers from outside the institute in a planned manner to promote and support innovation and start-up programs in campus.

2. IIC aims at ensuring round the year activities in campus to give multiple exposure opportunities for students and faculties to take part and understand the importance of Innovation, inculcating entrepreneurship skill and mind-set and encouraging taking start-up as an alternative career option.

3. We aim to have tie-ups with incubation units and pre-incubation centres –start-up cell at other institutes/industries for better options of internship and practical exposure of the students. These exposures would motivate the students to come up with Innovative ideas for adding value to the system apart from generating revenue. We also plan to open an incubation centre at the Campus.

This would be in alignment with the vision of our honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narender Modi ji of  ‘ आत्मानिर्भार भारत ’

INTRODUCTION  

Institution Innovation Council-DDUC Chapter

Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India has established ‘MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ to systematically foster the culture of Innovation among all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Our College is also a Chapter of Institution Innovation Council,

 The primary objective of MoE-IIC Chapter of DDUC is to to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes.

The main functions of this council are:

• To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem.

• Start-up supporting mechanism in HEIs.

• Prepare institute for Atal Ranking of institutions on innovation achievements framework.

• Establish function ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of ideas.

• Develop better cognitive ability among students.
