Career Profile

I did my MA in English from University of Delhi in 2010 and got JRF in 2012. Having completed three semesters of MPhil, I was promoted to PhD at the department of English. The title of my doctoral thesis is Literary Cultures in North Bihar:The Coming of Print in Mithila. Before joining DDUC in March 2015, I taught at as an ad hoc faculty in Dayal Singh (Ev) college of Delhi University.  I'm also a columnist and translator. My latest work is the English translation (co-translation) of Anurag Pathak's Twelfth Fail, published by HarperCollins. I have also translated Harimohan Jha's classic  Maithili novel Kanyadan into English, which will be published by Harper Perennial in 2022.
Administrative Assignments

I have worked in the capacity of a convener of various societies of college such as Debating Society, SPIC MACAY, etc. I have also worked as a deputy  coordinator exams of the University of Delhi for the evaluation of English answer scripts.
